2023 GMC Acadia
The GMC Acadia is a family-friendly crossover SUV with an upscale cabin that comes well equipped with comfort and convenience features. The Acadia arrives for the 2023 model year with just a few minor changes. It has a new leather-wrapped steering wheel for all trims except the SLE. It also has some new exterior paint colors. Here's a look at some of the details for the 2023 GMC Acadia.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Acadia is the SLE. It comes with 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, and heated side exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals. A step up to the SLT gets you a hands-free liftgate, fog lights, and roof rails. For some off-road extras, choose the AT4. It comes with upgraded 17-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, and black exterior trim elements. The Denali sits at the top of the lineup with 20-inch wheels and a distinct grille. Add the Denali Ultimate package for a two-panel moonroof and a trailering package.
Engine (Power)
Power for the SLE and SLT comes from a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that puts out 228 horsepower. The AT4 and Denali come with a 3.6-liter V-6 that generates 310 horsepower. Front-wheel drive comes standard on all models except the AT4, with all-wheel drive available as an option, and the all-wheel drive system comes standard with the AT4.
Performance
All Acadia models come with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission, and this SUV provides a smooth ride on the highway and around town. The Denali's adaptive suspension adjusts the dampers to smooth out road imperfections even better than the standard suspension. When equipped, it can tow up to 4,000 pounds.
Interior
Seating for six comes standard and seven-passenger seating is available for all Acadia trims, and the cabin has an upscale, classy feel. The base trim comes with tri-zone automatic climate control and cloth upholstery. The SLT adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and a heated, power-adjustable steering wheel. Stepping up to the Denali gets you heated second-row seats, ventilated front seats, driver's seat memory functions, and a power-adjustable passenger seat.
Technology in the Acadia starts with an 8-inch touch screen for the infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo, and an impressive five USB ports. You'll get an upgraded eight-speaker Bose stereo in the SLT, which also has integrated navigation and a household-style power outlet in the second row. Wireless charging comes in the Denali, along with a head-up display.
Safety Features
Every 2023 GMC Acadia has several advanced driver aids as part of the GMC Pro Safety Plus Package. These include a forward collision warning system with automatic braking, front and rear parking sensors, lane-keep assist, a blind-spot monitor, lane-departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The AT4 adds to this with hill descent control and hill hold assist. If you choose the Denali, you'll have access to the Technology package with a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, an enhanced automatic braking system, and a digital rearview mirror.
